Intergrated Assessment
In the assessment strategy as a whole, evidence must be demonstrated through a variety of options i.e. case studies, problem-solving assignments, formal examinations, and practical evaluation. Emphasis on practical work is very important and the assessment process has been developed to include the total spectrum of the practical as well as the theoretical work.
The assessment takes place through formal examinations. Internal examiners are usually nominated from inside the department concerned and it is preferable that they should have taken place in the teaching and learning of the learners.
External examiners are usually nominated from outside the academy staff establishment but may also include staff from the academy provided that the nominees have not taken part in the teaching and learning of the learners for the examination concerned.
The internal examiner in co-operation evaluates practical work with the person under whose supervision the student works in the industry.
