The qualifying learner assessed as competent at NQF Level 5 is able to:
1. Relate learning to group situations.
Relate knowledge gained to further training.
Relate learning acquired to a range of aesthetic disciplines.
Relate learning acquired to industry standards.
To make a positive contribution to Art and Culture within industry.
Engage in effective problem solving by effectively and critically collating and evaluating information.
Carry out effective problem solving within a group that displays an understanding of the inter-relationship of concepts and social constructs.
2. Solve problems by means of divergent thinking.
Solve problems through discussion.
Demonstrate an advanced understanding of technology.
Demonstrate an advanced understanding of theoretical concepts.
Integrated assessment to ensure that the purpose on the qualification is achieved:
Continuous assessment is done in order to obtain and give proof of competence. This mechanism ensures that learning did take place and knowledge was imparted. Evaluation is done through practical activities, short tests and assignments.
The learners will be accountable for self-evaluation exercises for the duration of the learning programme.
Summative assessment is conducted through an internal assessment, verified by qualified assessors and externally moderated by provincial appointed moderators.
