1. The assessment used for the MBA ensures that the exit level outcomes of this qualification is achieved.
2. A range of assessment methods such as individual tasks, group tasks, role play, workplace assignments, literature studies, computer assignments, written and oral presentations and examinations are used in a process of continual evaluation.
3. The required range of modalities are used integratively to assess whether the specified outcomes have been achieved.
4. Reliability is by generalising from samples to the population in a judicious and planned way.
5. The assessments used meet the standard and level of achievement for NQF level 8.
6. The assessments conclude with an integrative research project in which a real life management problem is analysed
INTEGRATED ASSESSMENT
Continuous assessment takes place in a variety of ways, on both and individual and group level. Modalities include discipline specific and cross-disciplinary individual and group assignments, simulations, computer assignments, workplace assessments, written and oral presentations and tests. Over and above this, the students also have to complete a research project based on a management problem.
