PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD
The qualifying learner achieving this unit standard will be able to explain cross sector linkages, the relationship between cause and effect on water resources and health, explain an integrated approach to water and sanitation and the use of an integrated development plan. This competence will enable the learner to advise communities on an integrated approach to water and sanitation related processes and enable the learner to facilitate water and sanitation processes in communities. This will contribute towards improved environmental health within a community. This competence will expand the skills base of the qualifying learner and make the person more effective in his/her tasks.
