PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard is intended: · To demonstrate proficient of knowledge of the areas covered · For those working in, or entering the workplace in the area of Information Technology People credited with this unit standard are able to: · Select an appropriate test procedure for the networked IT systems to be tested · Prepare the testing to ensure the given specifications will be addressed · Apply the test procedure to the IT Systems to be tested · Collect and record data from testing the networked IT systems |
LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING |
The credit value of this unit is based on a person having the prior knowledge and skills to: · Understand how to test a stand alone IT system against given specifications |
UNIT STANDARD RANGE |
Networked IT systems refers to a combination of workstations on a network, including a server workstation. It could also refer to combinations of programs with interfaces to other components being tested, making it more complex than just unit testing. |
