Qualifying students are able to:
1. identify and solve education problems by using critical and creative thinking
2. work effectively with others in the context of the school or workplace
3. organise and manage their professional activities responsibly and effectively
4. collect, analyse and critically evaluate information on education
5. use science and technology effectively and critically
6. communicate effectively as an education and training professional
7. demonstrate an understanding of education and its relation to other facets of our world
8. contribute, as education and training professionals, to the social and economic development of society, and have the ability to explore further education and career opportunities that will add value to their current context
Integrated assessment:
Assessment procedures involve on-going evaluation throughout the academic year. These procedures include tasks, assignments, seminar presentations, examinations and an action research project.
Assessment criteria derive directly from exit level outcomes. The qualifying student must be able to demonstrate the abilities outlined there within the context of the school or workplace.
