The following Associated Assessment Criteria assesses the Exit Level Outcomes in an integrated manner.
Exhibit a graduate-level of technical skills and aesthetic insight in performance on at least one instrument as judged by a panel of internal and external adjudicators.
Present, under supervision, written and adequately edited assignments as primary research projects logically and coherently, and exhibit an acceptable standard of academic Afrikaans or English.
Exhibit the necessary pedagogic and communication skills in a teaching situation involving children as well as adult learners.
Integrated Assessment:
Public performances are presented by Performance and Orchestra learners in their final year to allow assessment of their ability to integrate the practical skills and academic knowledge acquired in all previous modules.
Specific self-study projects are used to assess the integration of acquired knowledge and skills in the case of students majoring in Musicology or Music Education.
